What Makes a Focus Teacher?

Focus Teachers are ardent educators, who care deeply about the academic progress of every child they work with. They are flexible, caring individuals who understand that socio-economic and cultural factors needn't present a barrier to their learner's attainment. Our Focus Teachers are in the unique position of being able to deliver quality education, both academically and emotionally.

What does the role entail?

Our Focus Tutors work in a peripatetic manner, on a one-to-one basis with each pupil. Following a planned and structured timetable; they co-ordinate the learning of their pupils through planning lessons, communicating with our Learning and Behaviour specialist as well as the assigned Mentors. The tutor's key driver is to ensure that the academic progress of the pupil flourishes alongside the Social, Emotional aspects of the pupil's education.
